LA VERGÜENZA EN LA
DE-CONSTRUCCIÓN / CONSTRUCCIÓN
DEL SENTIMIENTO DE SÍ

Un momento de vergüenza que emerge en la relación terapéutica es una experiencia de de-construcción de la convicción (inconsciente o consciente) de ser alguien defectuoso. La mirada del terapeuta contribuye con su presencia y /o intervención en la construcción de un sentimiento de sí singular y diferenciado que incluye la expectativa natural de ser alguien de valía. La formación del sentimiento de sí, “ser alguien”, surge del “estar con alguien”. Centramos nuestro interés en la observación de las disfunciones relacionales (del presente y del pasado) que están en la base del sufrimiento psíquico, para incidir terapéuticamente, a través de la identificación y de la validación de la experiencia subjetiva. El tratamiento psicoanalítico es, desde este punto de vista, un proceso terapéutico de de-construcción y construcción del sentimiento de sí.

A moment of shame emerging in the therapeutic relationship is an experience of de-construction of the (conscious or unconscious) belief of being flawed. The therapist contributes with her presence and/or intervention to the construction of a unique, differentiated self, which includes the natural expectation of being of worth. The formation of self-experience, of “being someone”, comes from “being with someone.” Our interest is centred on the observation of relational dysfunctions (present and past), the foundations of psychological suffering, with the therapeutic goal of affecting change through the identification and validation of subjective experience. Psychoanalytic treatment is, from this point of view, a therapeutic process of de-constructing and constructing self-experience.
